What to do if lucky bamboo doesn't take root

What to do if lucky bamboo doesn't take root

1. Cleaning the Miter Shears

If it always fails to take root, you need to take it out of the water or soil, clean the roots, then cut them obliquely with scissors, and then replant it in the soil or water after processing. This way, it can absorb nutrients better in the later stage and will soon grow new roots.

2. Apply fertilizer appropriately

If fertilizer is not supplemented for a long time during maintenance and management, it will be difficult for the plant to take root due to lack of nutrients. If it is maintained by soil culture method, appropriate amount of fertilizer should be applied to the soil to replenish nutrients in time. If it is grown in water, you should add a few drops of nutrient solution to the water, or you can put two iron nails in it to promote rooting.

3. Faster water quality

If the water is not changed for a long time during hydroponic care, bacteria will breed in it and affect rooting. The plants should be taken out for disinfection, and then placed in a container filled with clean water. Remember to change the water frequently to ensure cleanliness.

4. Improve the environment

It is shade-tolerant and cannot accept strong light. If it is placed in the sun for extended periods of time or in an unventilated environment, the roots will not be able to grow. Therefore, whether it is hydroponics or soil culture, a suitable growth environment should be provided. Place it in a place with diffused light and keep it ventilated frequently.
