What to do if there are black spots on the leaves of green radish

What to do if there are black spots on the leaves of green radish

1. Medication

When the cultivated green radish is attacked by leaf spot disease, black spots of varying sizes will appear on its leaves. The diseased leaves should be cut off as soon as possible and placed in a place with good air circulation. They should also be treated with drugs such as carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl for prevention and control.

2. Keep warm

If the temperature is low in winter and the plants are frozen, the leaves will also have black spots and become soft. You also need to cut off these leaves, then move it to a warmer room, or wrap it in a plastic bag or cotton cloth and wait for it to resume growing.

3. Enhance ventilation

The plant cannot be kept in a stuffy, airtight environment for a long time. It will grow poorly and have difficulty breathing in such an environment, which will result in black spots. It is necessary to increase the ventilation and air permeability of the cultivation, or immediately move the potted plants to the outdoors, balcony or window and maintain them for a period of time.

4. Reasonable exposure to light

If the plant is placed in a dark place, it will cause black spots on the leaves due to lack of light. On the contrary, exposure to strong direct sunlight will cause darkness due to burns. You should choose a place with mild light, preferably with diffuse light, for maintenance. If you grow it indoors, you can place it in a windowsill or other place.
