How to make avocado bonsai

Selection of avocado seeds

Step 1: Choose an avocado that is ripe and plump. When choosing, pay attention to the freshness of the avocado. If the fruit is dark green in color, has a rough surface, feels heavy when picked up, feels firm and hard when pressed, and the stem is bright green, it means the fruit is fresh.

Step 2: Cut the avocado from head to tail, gently twist the fruit open, and carefully remove the seeds.

Step 3: Rinse the seeds with clean water and remove impurities on the surface of the seeds.

Germination of avocado seeds

Step 1: Cut off the top and bottom of the avocado seed to make it easier for the seed to germinate.

Step 2: Wrap the seeds with a damp paper towel and place the seeds in a sealed box in a dark place for 14-21 days.

Step 3: Check the seeds regularly to see if they have germinated, keep the room ventilated, and prevent the seeds from rotting. Keep the paper towel moist, and when the roots grow to six or seven centimeters, you can plant them in the soil.

Avocado hydroponic bonsai making

Step 1: Cut off a small part of the bottom and top of the seed, and use toothpicks to insert them on all four sides of the avocado to fix the seed.

Step 2: Place the seeds with toothpicks inserted in a cup of clean water, with the water level reaching 1/4 of the bottom of the seeds.

Step 3: Place the processed seeds on the balcony, but avoid direct sunlight, just use scattered light.

Step 4: Water the seeds regularly, keeping the water level high enough to cover 1/4 of the bottom of the seeds.

Step 5: When the roots of the seeds grow to 5-7 cm, they can be grown in hydroponics or soil. When growing hydroponically, add three drops of nutrient solution per week.

Making avocado bonsai

Step 1: Choose loose and fertile potting soil, mix it with river sand or perlite, and put gravel at the bottom.

Step 2: Water the soil thoroughly, bury 2/3 of the seeds in the soil, and leave 1/3 exposed above the ground, keeping the soil moist.

Step 3: Place the flower pot in an environment with diffused light and keep the temperature between 16 and 27 degrees.
