How to hydroponically cultivate Guanyin bamboo

How to hydroponically cultivate Guanyin bamboo

Remove the leaves

It won't work if you put it in the bottle without removing the leaves. But how many leaves should be peeled off? This mainly depends on the size of our bottle. There should be no leaves below the bottle mouth. Please note that you cannot cut it directly with scissors. You have to pull out all the parts on the stem until the bamboo nodes are exposed and the slightly yellow stems below the nodes are visible. This way the water won't stink so easily. After completing this step, cut the roots at an angle so that they can absorb water easily.

Water Magic

I personally use purified water to grow the bamboo. This method can keep the bamboo green even without adding nutrient solution. One thing to note is that when it is just inserted, do not change the direction immediately or move it back and forth. It will be fine after a day. The water needs to be changed about twice every year, not every day. Another point to note is that you don’t need to change the water once the roots have grown out, so you should add water in time.

Water depth control

The water depth should also be controlled according to the size of the bottle, roughly between half and three-fifths of the bottle. If you are not sure, it is recommended to use a transparent vase.

Placement

In summer, everyone likes to use air conditioning to cool down, but our Guanyin bamboo cannot be placed where the wind from the air conditioner blows through, otherwise its leaves are likely to change color.
