The flower language and symbolic meaning of Cymbidium

The Flower Language of Cymbidium

The most common flower language of Cymbidium is: noble and graceful, abundant and peaceful. In addition, different colors of Cymbidium orchids have different flower languages.

White Cymbidium represents infatuation, pink Cymbidium represents passion, light green Cymbidium represents ambition, and yellow Cymbidium represents good luck.

The representative meaning of Cymbidium

Cymbidium represents the image of China: rich and elegant, steadfast and honest. It embodies the unique characteristics of the Chinese people and the spirit of the Chinese nation of unity and solidarity. During the Yao, Shun and Yu periods, Cymbidium and Angelica dahurica were called "Huizhi", representing the 5,000-year civilization history of the descendants of Yan and Huang. In traditional Chinese consciousness, "Huizhi" is seen as a symbol and emblem of the Chinese nation's beautiful mountains and rivers, territorial integrity, prosperity and national unity.

What we now call Chinese orchids was called "Hui" in ancient times, so "Huizhilanxin" means that the essence of Huilan is the center of Chinese orchids. The center of the Chinese orchid is "Hui", which means "Hui heart", or Chinese heart. People who love orchids must love "Hui". "Hui" refers to China, and "Hui" means Chinese vanilla, and "Zhi" means people's vanilla, so "Huizhi" is called "national fragrance".

Cultural Appreciation

"I have planted orchids in nine acres, and cymbidium in a hundred acres. The fields are planted with Ligusticum chuanxiong and Gachetia oleifera, mixed with Duheng and fragrant Acorus odoratum." This is the description of cymbidium orchid in "Chu Ci" by Qu Yuan of Chu State. In the past one or two hundred years, great importance has been attached to the petal shape in the aesthetic appreciation of Cymbidium orchids, and its influence has been very wide, and it has become a traditional concept in the aesthetic appreciation of Cymbidium orchids.

I have now finished introducing the flower language and symbolic meaning of Cymbidium.
