How to grow newly bought lucky bamboo to make it more vigorous?

Lucky bamboo , with its evergreen leaves and elegant posture, has become a popular choice for home decoration. It not only adds a touch of fresh green to the study, living room or bedroom in the home, but is also deeply loved by people for its auspicious meaning of "great wealth and honor, bamboo reports peace". So how can you grow the newly bought lucky bamboo to make it grow more vigorously?

1. Maintenance method of rooted lucky bamboo

For lucky bamboo that has already taken root, maintenance is relatively simple. Just make sure the indoor temperature is not lower than 15℃. After you bring it home, place it in a cool place for a few days to adapt to the new environment, and then move it to a place with sufficient light. There is no need to change the water frequently, just replenish it when the water level drops, and add a small amount of hydroponic nutrient solution, so that lucky bamboo can grow luxuriantly.

2. Maintenance method of unrooted lucky bamboo

For unrooted lucky bamboo, take the following steps to promote rapid rooting:

1. Pruning

First, use a sharp knife to trim the bottom 6-10 cm of the lucky bamboo, cutting it diagonally to increase the water absorption area. Remove leaves below the bottle neck and any leaves that are yellowing or have dry tips.

2. Water volume control

Add 6-8 cm of water to the hydroponic bottle, not too much, to encourage the roots to grow downward and keep the stems breathable.

3. Shading

Cover the hydroponic bottle with opaque cloth or cardboard, leaving only a small area at the mouth of the bottle for ventilation, to create a dark environment to speed up the rooting process.

With these steps, lucky bamboo usually takes root in about 15 days. When the roots grow to about 1 cm, move them to a diffuse light environment, add water regularly and add an appropriate amount of nutrient solution every week to promote dark green leaves and lush plants.
