Direct consumption

Lai grapes can be eaten directly as fruit, but after they are ripe, you must discard their yellow shell and eat the red part inside; the seeds are not edible.

Boiled grapes

Lai grapes can also be eaten as vegetables, but you have to choose unripe ones with green surface. Eating them as vegetables is just the opposite of eating them as fruits. You have to remove the flesh inside and leave the shell.
