The efficacy and function of jasmine leaves

The efficacy and function of jasmine leaves

1. As a medicinal material

(1) Ingredients: The leaves of the winter jasmine can be used as a medicinal material because they contain certain ingredients that can be used as medicinal materials, such as "forsythia glycosides" and other substances.

(2) Characteristics: The first is “bitter”; the second is “cold”.

(3) Function: They have the effect of detoxification and clearing away heat. In addition, they can also be used for symptoms such as bleeding from external injuries, bruises, colds and fevers.

(4) Usage and dosage: They can be taken orally or used externally. If it is internal, take ten to twenty grams to boil it into soup and drink it; if it is external, take out an appropriate amount to boil water or mash it, and then apply it on the external injury.

(5) Records: There were records about it as early as in Compendium of Materia Medica.

2. For viewing

Seeing this, some people may find it a little strange: Aren’t we appreciating flowers? What’s so beautiful about this inconspicuous leaf? However, this is wrong. First, let's look at their shapes. Most of these leaves are curled, wrinkled and relatively small. When flattened, it is oval, or rounded oval, and is about one to three centimeters long. The grey-green colour is also very pleasing to the eye.

If you smell them carefully, you will find that they also emit a unique fragrance. Although the smell is relatively light, it will make people feel very comfortable. Also, look at its picture and imagine a scene with only flowers and no leaves. Doesn’t it feel particularly monotonous? That’s right, without the foil of leaves, no matter how beautiful the flowers are, they will be useless and their charm will be greatly reduced.
