When does the Chinese thorn tree bloom?

When does the Chinese thorn tree bloom?

1. Flowering period

This is a plant native to hot areas. Its flowering period is concentrated from March to May each year, which is the period when spring and summer meet, just like the flowering period of most flowers.

2. Maintenance during flowering period

1. Lighting

During the differentiation of its flower buds, it is rarely affected by light, but if it can have strong light, it will be beneficial to the differentiation and development of its flower buds. And be sure to note that if flowers are placed in a dark space for too long, and the temperature is maintained above 21 degrees for more than a day, the flowers will fall off.

2. Fertilizer

When it blooms, we should choose fertilizers suitable for its flower consumption, such as phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. This fertilizer can be applied 1 to 2 times during the flowering period. You can also apply decomposed and diluted fertilizer water to it every week or so, a total of 3 to 4 times, not more or less.

3. Pruning

During its flowering period, since nutrients are limited, if there are too many flower buds, the flowers will not bloom brightly. Therefore, you can pinch off the growing side branches at this time to distribute more nutrients to each flower bud.

4. Notes

If it is not exposed to much light due to human factors or weather reasons, it will grow wildly but will never bloom.

Before its flowering period, it is necessary to moderately increase the application rate of some flower fertilizers, which can provide sufficient nutrients for its flowering.
