What is the meaning of dragon's spit?

1. Meaning

The leaves of the Clerodendrum thomsoniae are very green, the flowers are beautiful, and it is extremely poetic and picturesque, so people often use it as a potted plant to decorate windowsills or balconies. In summer, although its flowers are not as colorful as other flowers, they are not afraid of the heat and grow tenaciously under the summer sky. They hide the red beads of the fire of life, which bloom one after another, making people feel the tenacity of life instantly. At the same time, it also has the meaning of preciousness, purity, and extreme inner passion.

2. Legend

In the middle of the eighteenth century, a British traveler named Cos Thomson was traveling in Africa one day. He suddenly saw many black-skinned girls with clothes made of Clerodendrum thomsoniae hanging on their chests. The huge contrast between black and white aroused his great interest, so he collected its seedlings and took them back to plant. At that time, because he was the first person to discover this flower, he named it after himself.

Later, at the end of the 19th century, Mali began to manage these flowers and changed the name to "Pearl Pagoda", which became much more pleasant than the previous name. Then in the 20th century, it entered the international flower market. Sales were not very good at the beginning, until an overseas Chinese worker appeared. Because he loved flowers very much, he changed the name to "Dragon's Tongue". Since then, sales have greatly increased and it is sold all over the world, becoming very famous.
