Do I need to water the Monstera after repotting?

1. Early stage

In fact, we cannot water it at will before repotting, because it needs a dry environment, so we need to maintain the soil environment so that its repotting will go smoothly.

2. Time

We can determine the time to repot the plant based on its own growing conditions. Generally speaking, the time is in spring and autumn. After it is repotted, it actually needs a certain amount of time to relax its roots. This is called the root relaxation period. To put it simply, it is the time it takes for its roots to adapt to the new environment. During this period, we cannot water it at will, because it is relatively fragile, and the leaves will wilt or even fall off during this period. So we can only water it once, and the purpose is to make it return to normal quickly.

3. Follow-up

After watering, we cannot leave it alone. Generally, we have to put it in a more suitable temperature, that is, between 15 and 25 degrees. If we want to water it again later, we must wait until the soil is dry. In short, we should not water too frequently, and control the amount of water each time. We should wait until it returns to a normal growth state before watering it normally.
