Reproduction methodSeed propagationDandelions are mostly propagated by seeds. The seeds have no dormancy period, and the mature seeds can be sown at any time from spring to autumn. According to the needs of the field, sowing can also be carried out in the greenhouse in winter. For open-field direct seeding, row sowing is used. A front transverse furrow is opened on the bed surface with a row spacing of 25-30 cm. The sowing width is about 10 cm. After the seeds are sown, they are covered with 1 cm of soil and then slightly pressed down. The sowing rate is 0.5-0.75 kg per mu. Sow on flat beds, using 1.5-2.0 kg of seeds per mu. For flat-bed sowing, use 1.5-2.0 kg of seeds per mu. For high-quality dandelion seeds, the sowing rate per mu is only 25-50 grams. After sowing, cover the seeds with straw to keep them warm. Remove the straw when the seedlings emerge. The seedlings will emerge in about 6 days. Root transplantationIn spring or autumn, you can dig up the roots of wild dandelions and transplant them to a suitable plot of land with a row spacing of 15cm*10cm. It is best to transplant it in water to ensure survival. In October, plant the seedlings in a pre-prepared greenhouse with a planting density of 10cm*5cm. Pay attention to watering them regularly and choose to put them on the market during the New Year's Day to Spring Festival. Greenhouse cultivation and propagationPlant the seedlings in October using the same method as before. Cover the greenhouse to keep warm in early March and you can harvest after a month. Saponin methodIn order to lengthen the white and tender part of the petiole, cover the soil when the seedlings emerge, 1-2 cm each time. 4-5 times can increase the white and tender part by 5-10 cm. |
