How to raise Chiva Lotus

How to raise Chiva Lotus

Select pot

Strictly speaking, succulents grow well in an environment of 5 to 30 degrees Celsius. They will go dormant if the temperature exceeds this range. The low temperature does not need to be too much, the temperature of the home can meet their growth, but it is easy to create a stuffy environment in the summer, so choosing a good pot is the key.

Seedling

For Chihuahuas purchased online, you can plant them in moist soil during the seedling acclimatization period and place them in a bright and ventilated place for 1-2 weeks. Then gradually increase the light and water them as appropriate during this period. A ventilated environment can effectively prevent the growth of pathogens.

Watering

Chiva grows in spring and autumn, so it is necessary to ensure sufficient moisture. It can be watered once the soil is dry. When watering, be careful to avoid water accumulation in the center of the leaves, otherwise they will easily be sunburned or even rot.

When the outdoor temperature exceeds 30℃ in summer, water control is required. The Chiva Lotus grows slowly at this time, so just water it appropriately, and there is no need to water it thoroughly.

The best time to water is during the warmer noontime in spring and winter, and during the cool afternoon or evening in summer.

illumination

Keep warm in spring, keep cool in autumn, and take a nap in summer. Chivachara will also feel a little sleepy in summer. It is recommended to keep it in a bright and well-ventilated place. After the end of summer, you can gradually increase the light, and when the autumn heat is completely over, you can provide light.

temperature

It is difficult for Chiva Gardenia to survive the summer. If the temperature is above 30℃, its growth will be inhibited. Therefore, ventilation should be strengthened and watering should be controlled in summer. Watering can be done at night. When the leaves become transparent and show signs of melting, be sure to stop watering.

In winter, when the temperature is below 5℃, water should be controlled or cut off. The temperature cannot be lowered any further. Try to choose a sunny indoor place to overwinter.
