Cultivation methods and precautions of blue stone lotus

Blue stone lotus needs more light to grow

The leaves of blue stone lotus are bluish white, and a circle of pink will appear on the edge of the leaves when there is sufficient light. When observed under sunlight, it feels shiny and fluorescent.

Blue stone lotus prefers sunlight by nature, so it is necessary to ensure that it has sufficient light, especially during the growing period. Only when there is sufficient sunlight will the color of the leaves be bright and sparkling, and the plant shape will be more compact. When there is insufficient sunlight, the blue color fades, the fleshy texture on the leaves disappears, and the overall shape looks as if it is withered.

Blue stone lotus needs less water to grow

Blue stone lotus likes warm and dry environment and has strong drought resistance, so when watering, water it only when the soil is completely dry. Pay special attention to winter and try to reduce watering. Besides, blue stone lotus is not cold-resistant, and excessive water in winter will cause it to rot.

Normally, water the plants once a week during the growing season and once a month in winter, so watering 1 to 2 times is sufficient. Keep the soil in the pot dry. When the weather is hot in summer, spray water on the leaves frequently, or spray around the flower pots to prevent water from accumulating in the leaves and causing the plants to rot.

The growth of blue stone lotus needs to be repotted

The appropriate size of the flower pot can promote the growth of blue stone lotus. Repotting can be done every spring. After repotting, place the plant in a cool place for 3 to 5 days, and then resume normal maintenance.

After repotting, the blue stone lotus looks like a blooming lotus with beautiful and stretched leaves.

Precautions for cultivating blue stone lotus

Avoid direct sunlight during high temperatures in summer to prevent leaf burns.

Blue Stone Lotus does not require much fertilizer. Do not apply fertilizer during the summer dormancy period to avoid damaging the roots and affecting the growth of the plant. Less fertilizer during the growth period can promote its growth.

Do not spray when watering in winter to avoid water staying in the center of the leaves for too long. Therefore, water directly to the roots when watering in winter.
