Does the Jade Plant bloom?

Does the Jade Plant bloom?

Will it bloom?

The Jade Plant will bloom, but due to the differences in indoor maintenance environment, it is difficult for it to bloom. It will bloom in its native habitat, with small red flowers blooming all over the branches. Of course, it will bloom in certain environments in our country, but the jade flowers displayed by flower vendors may be fake. They will use a special kind of small artificial flowers and insert them on the branches. The petals will open when watering, and they are usually closed. Don't be deceived by this illusion.

When does it bloom?

The Jade Plant is native to Africa, a place with dry, hot weather and plenty of sunshine. Perhaps only local people know when it blooms. But since it was introduced to China, it has bloomed less frequently and there is no fixed time.

How to make it bloom

If you want to make the Jade Plant bloom, the easiest way is to simulate the environment of its origin.

First of all, make sure there is sufficient sunlight except in summer. Sufficient sunlight is beneficial to the accumulation of nutrients in the plants. Don't overexpose it, as long as the leaves do not wilt. You know, in South Africa, with such strong sunlight, the Jade Plant can grow very well.

In addition, increasing the temperature difference between day and night and controlling the temperature between day and night at above 10°C can effectively avoid nutrient consumption.

Finally, it is very important to enhance ventilation. As long as the temperature is not low, try to ensure that the jade plants are in an open-air environment, avoid feeling stuffy, and keep the air in good condition.
