First, collect the water lily branches and cut the flower stalks short. The length of the flower stems should not be too long to protrude from the mouth of the bottle.

Then, turn the water lily upside down, pour water in from the place where the pedicel was cut, and plug the opening with cotton when it is full. Because the flowers of water lilies need to have their pedicels filled with water in order to stand upright.

Then fill the prepared vase with water. Be careful not to fill it too full. About two-thirds of the vase will be enough. Otherwise, the water may overflow after the water lily is inserted.

Remove the green skin on the outside of the water lily flower to reveal the flower inside, otherwise the green skin will hinder the flower inside from blooming.
