How to prune and plant green radish

1. Planting medium

Before planting, you need to prepare breathable soil. It is best to use loose, well-drained sandy soil. For home breeding, it is recommended to use vermiculite. Such soil is more conducive to the rooting of branches, and the survival rate is relatively high. In addition, it must be disinfected before use, otherwise impurities and insect eggs in the soil will harm the branches.

2. Pruning branches

It is best to use branches that are growing well and are not damaged by diseases and insects. The length of the cuttings should be controlled at around 10-15cm. Avoid using thin and weak branches; it is recommended to use semi-lignified and strong branches.

3. Simple processing

After cutting off the branches, you should use scissors to cut the bottom of the branch into an oblique end, and keep 2 or 3 leaves on the top. If the leaves are relatively large, you need to cut them in half. This is to reduce water loss and can increase the survival rate of the cuttings to a certain extent.

4. Planting

After simple treatment, if conditions permit, you can dip the branches in rooting powder, and then insert them into the sterilized substrate to 1/2 the depth. After planting, just spray water appropriately to keep the humidity high enough.
