How to determine whether succulents are dormant

Judging from the growth rate, succulents that enter the summer dormancy period basically will not grow anymore, and the intuitive manifestation is that the appearance and size of the succulents will not change for a period of time. The last method is that even in summer, there are times when the temperature is below 30 degrees.
