Cultivation methods and precautions of ironwood

Cultivation methods and precautions of ironwood

1. Light and soil requirements

Ironwood is a positive plant that likes sunlight very much, especially strong light, so its ability to receive light must be met to a certain extent. It is best to keep it between 23 and 30 degrees, not too high or too low, otherwise it will be bad for its growth. It has good adaptability, so generally speaking, its soil requirements are not particularly high. As long as the soil is relatively deep and can drain quickly, it can grow very well.

2. Fertilization

Normally, it does not need much fertilizer, but during its growth period, it has a particularly high demand for nutrients, so at this time it is best to apply fertilizer to it once every 2 to 3 months, so that it can absorb more nutrients and grow better.

3. Proper weeding

As it grows, a lot of weeds will definitely grow. At this time, we must weed in time. When the seedlings are about 30 cm tall, leave 2 to 3 plants in each hole. Wait until one year later before transplanting the seedlings, leaving one plant in each hole. When the forest is young, the soil should be loosened and weeds removed 1 to 2 times a year.

4. Pruning

When it is still a young tree, it is very necessary to prune it properly. Generally, it is best to do it in winter when the leaves fall, and it is also more suitable to do it in spring just before the buds sprout, so that the tree shape it grows will be more beautiful.

5. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

When it is growing vigorously, its resistance is very strong, but it is relatively weak during the seedling stage. At this time, it is easy for some diseases and pests to harm its seedlings, which will directly cause damage or even death to its seedlings. So at this time we can use some medicines to spray it appropriately and kill them in time, so that it can smoothly pass the seedling stage.
