Cultivation methods and precautions of Desert Rose

1. Soil:

To grow Desert Rose, you need to use sandy soil with good drainage. You can mix loose sand and leaf mold, and add some bone meal.

2. Watering:

Desert rose is drought-resistant, so watering is not needed too frequently, and the amount of watering is not too much. Too much water can easily cause technology. If water accumulates, the roots will rot and the branches will also be affected. In summer when the temperature is high, water can be used once every 2-3 days, and in winter when the temperature is low, water can be used once every 7 days or so, but there should be no water accumulation in the pot.

3. Fertilization:

Fertilize in moderation, once a month is enough. It likes phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and you can also apply some base fertilizer.

4. Lighting:

It likes to grow in an environment with high temperature and sufficient light, so when the temperature is low in winter, it should be moved indoors or some warming measures should be taken.

5. Notes:

1. Repotting: It is best to change the pot for growing Desert Rose once a year. Do not water it before changing it. Wait until the soil is slightly dry, then pour it out and trim the roots, and finally put it in a new pot.

2. Pruning: Its branches are prone to grow too long. In order not to affect the appearance, grafting can be used to improve it. After a certain height, they should be cut according to a certain shape, and then the upper end of the branch should be grafted using cleft grafting. After grafting and flowering, the plant will be very compact, very beautiful and highly ornamental.
