1. Difference of blades

The Mi Zai Lan has 3-5 small leaves, which are thick papery, about 2-7 cm long and 1-3.5 cm wide. The top leaf is larger, with a blunt tip and a wedge-shaped base. Both sides are glabrous, with 8 slender lateral veins and reticulate veins on each side that are slightly raised on both sides.

Murraya has 3-5-7 small leaves, which are obovate or obovate-elliptical, usually asymmetrical on both sides, smaller than the former, about 1-6 cm long, 0.5-3 cm wide, entire and relatively flat.

2. Petal Difference

The panicle inflorescence of the Mi Zai Lan grows in the leaf axils, is about 5-10 cm long, has 5 petals, is oblong or nearly round, and is yellow in color.

The inflorescence of Osmanthus fragrans is usually terminal or terminal and axillary. The shortened inflorescence will be a panicle cyme with 5 petals, which are oblong and white in color.

3. Fruit shape difference

The berry is an oval or nearly spherical berry. The fruit of the sweet olive is oval or broadly oval, with a short pointed tip, slightly tilted, and sometimes spherical.
