The difference between snapdragon and sweet lily

1. Differences in the stems

Snapdragon is relatively tall, ranging in height from about 20 to 70 cm. It is a perennial herb with a hairless stem underneath that is sometimes woody.

The height of the Fragrant Wood Sparrow plant is about 40 to 60 cm. It is an annual herb with glandular hairs on the upper and lower parts of the stem and many branches on the stem.

2. The difference of flowers

Snapdragon flowers grow from the top in racemes, with pedicels 5 to 7 mm long. The length of the calyx is almost the same as the pedicel. The flowers come in a variety of colors, including red, purple, white, etc. The flowering period is from June to September.

The flowers of the fragrant bird of paradise are solitary, lip-shaped, and have long and thin pedicels.

3. The difference of leaves

The leaves of snapdragon are alternate on the upper part and opposite on the lower part. The leaves are oblong-lanceolate in shape, about 2 to 6 cm long, and have very short petioles.

The leaves of the fragrant bird are linear-lanceolate and have no petioles.
