The difference between Tongquancao and Lobelia

1. Differences in plants

The length of the herb is about 3 to 30 cm. The stem has no hairs or has sparsely distributed short and soft hairs, and the root is relatively slender.

The length of Lobelia is about 6 to 15 cm, the stem is relatively thin and weak, and there are no small hairs.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the herb are shaped like an inverted spoon, about 2 to 6 cm long, with inconspicuous and sparse serrations on the edges.

The leaves of Lobelia are elliptical-lanceolate to linear in shape. The leaves are relatively large, about 8 to 25 cm long and 2 to 6 cm wide. The edges of the leaves have obvious serrations and no small hairs.

3. The difference of flowers

The flowers of the herb are sparsely distributed, and the corolla colors are white, purple and blue. The flowering period begins in April.

The stem of the lotus plant is relatively thin, the corolla is pink or white, and the flowering period begins in May.
