The difference between yellow jasmine and white jasmine

The difference between yellow jasmine and white jasmine

1. Difference in appearance

The yellow jasmine is an evergreen tree, about 10 meters high, with branches extending obliquely upward and a narrow umbrella-shaped crown. Its young branches, buds, young leaves and petioles are covered with light yellow soft hairs. The white jasmine is taller than the former, reaching up to 17 meters. Its crown is broad umbrella-shaped, and its young branches and buds also have yellow-white soft hairs that will fall off when it gets old.

2. The difference between flowers

The flowers of the yellow jasmine are yellow in color, with 15-20 tepals, which are oblanceolate, about 3-4 cm long and 4-5 mm wide. The flowering period is from June to July every year. The flowers of the white jasmine are white, with 10 tepals, lanceolate in shape, and similar in size to the former. The flowering period is longer than the former, from April to September, and the blooming period is in summer.
