How to identify coral grass

1. Stem

The stems and branches of Coral Grass have relatively large nodes and can grow to 50-120 cm in height.

2. Blades

The leaves of Coral Grass are leathery, elliptical or ovate to ovate-lanceolate, about 6-17 cm long and 2-6 cm wide. The apex is gradually pointed, the base is also pointed or wedge-shaped, the edges of the leaves are coarsely serrated, and both sides are glabrous.

3. Flowers

The flowers of Coral Grass are yellow-green, the spike inflorescence is terminal and usually branched. The bracts are triangular and there is one stamen, which is rod-shaped to cylindrical.

4. Fruit

Its drupe is spherical, about 3-4 mm wide, usually blooms from August to October, and turns bright red when ripe.
