How to identify Feicai

1. Leaves

The leaves of the plant are alternate, oval in shape, 4-8 cm long and about 2 cm wide. The top of the leaves is pointed, the base is wedge-shaped, and the edges have irregular serrations. The leaves of the Chinese cabbage are relatively hard, feel thick to the touch, and have an oily, leathery surface.

2. Flowers

The flowers of the plant are corymbs with many small flowers on the cymes, which are relatively flat. The flowers are yellow and the style is long and subulate. Generally, a flower has 5 petals. The overall length of the flower is about 6-10 mm. The scales are oblong and ovate, with bracts at the bottom. The flowering period is June and July.
