The difference between wrinkled papaya and smooth papaya

The wrinkled papaya has 3-5 flowers clustered on two-year-old branches. The petals are obovate or nearly round, scarlet in color, rarely light pink or white.

The flowers of the smooth-skinned papaya grow solitarily in the leaf axils. The petals are obovate and light pink in color.

3. Fruit Difference

The wrinkled papaya fruit is spherical or ovoid, about 4-6 cm in diameter, and yellow or yellow-green in color.

The fruit of the smooth-skinned papaya is oblong and dark yellow in color.
