1. Cutting methodPlum blossom cuttings are usually carried out in November. Relatively strong branches are cut from the faster-growing mother plant. The length of the branches is about 10-15cm. Find a suitable planting site and then insert the branches into the soil to a depth of 1/3, and no more than half. After cutting, you need to water it. If you want the branches to grow roots faster, you need to cover it with a layer of film, which can play a good moisturizing role. 2. Layering methodGenerally speaking, when the amount of reproduction is small, layering can be used. In early spring, select 1-3 year old branches and use tools to dig a trench next to the mother plant. Then ring-bark a wound 0.5-1 cm wide at the bottom of the branch. Press it down in the ditch, cover it with soil and wait for it to take root. After it grows new roots, cut it from the mother tree and transplant it. 3. Seeding methodIf you use the sowing method for propagation, you can sow in autumn. Around June and July in summer, harvest its seeds, then wash and dry them. Wait until autumn to sow the seeds in the soil, then cover the seeds with very fine soil, and small seedlings will grow next year. |
