What is it?

It is the seed of Coix lachryma-jobi, a perennial plant with an upright stem, lanceolate leaves, and oval seeds that are white or grayish white in color.

It has extremely high nutritional value and is regarded as a health friend of life in Europe. Nowadays, people like to use it as a nutritional supplement to cool down in the summer, and it tastes great. Because of its high nutritional value, it is often eaten as food. It tastes a bit like rice, aids digestion and absorption, and can be used to cook porridge or soup.

2. How to plant

1. Time: Choose spring when the climate is more suitable.

2. Sowing: Sow the properly processed seeds, cover them with 2 to 3 cm of fine soil, and water them with appropriate amount.

3. Transplanting: After the seedlings grow out, pay attention to the application of water, fertilizer and nutrients to promote its growth. Then you can move it out and plant it.

4. Post-production: After completion, it needs to be managed well. Water enough in the early stage, and when the plant starts to grow, reduce the amount of water. It is better to keep it a little drier.
