Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lilac

Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lilac

1. Flower Pot

Because lilac flowers are relatively large in size, have many strong roots, and a well-developed root system, when growing them, you should choose a flowerpot with good air permeability and depth. Specifically, you can use a slightly deeper ceramic pot.

2. Flower soil

It is more suitable to be planted in fertile, breathable, slightly acidic flower soil. So when raising it, you can mix garden soil and leaf mold together to make its flower soil.

3. Lighting

If it does not receive enough sunlight, its flowers will be lighter in color and have less fragrance. Therefore, you should usually keep it in a place with good lighting conditions, and try to ensure that it gets 8-10 hours of sunlight every day. However, in summer, you need to be careful to avoid exposure to strong sunlight.

4. Watering

Don't water it too frequently, otherwise water will accumulate in the soil and cause root rot. Generally speaking, you can water it every 2-3 days during the growing season and once every 1-2 days during the high temperature period.

5. Notes

1. Pruning: Every autumn, it is best to prune it and cut off the aging branches to allow the remaining branches to grow better.

2. Weeding: If you find weeds in the flowerpot, remove them in time to prevent them from stealing nutrients from the plant.
