Cultivation methods and precautions of Photinia fraseri

Cultivation methods and precautions of Photinia fraseri

1. Soil

The soil suitable for the plant to grow is red soil, yellow soil or slightly acidic soil. Compared with other plants, it has almost no requirements for soil and can grow well in many types of soil, but don't use too thick soil.

2. Watering

Although it is suitable for a humid environment, do not water it too much, as too much water will cause its roots to rot. Photinia can be watered regularly every day, fixed before 10 am or after 4 pm.

3. Fertilizer and water

It grows very fast, so it is necessary to strengthen the fertilizer supplementation during the growth period to ensure that it grows healthy and vigorous. Except in winter, liquid fertilizer should be applied every 15 days. Fertilization should be stopped in winter to avoid the accumulation of fertilizer and water and cause root burn.

4. Light temperature

The temperature suitable for its growth is between 15~30℃, which allows it to grow better. Although it likes relatively cool places, it still needs to be provided with sufficient light during normal maintenance so that the leaves can be more shiny and beautiful.

5. Notes

Although there is a wide range of soil options, special attention should be paid to the health of the soil and whether there are insect eggs. In addition, when there is insufficient light, the leaves will lack color and the ornamental value will be much worse. Fertilizer should not be applied too much at one time, as it may burn the roots. It should be applied thinly and frequently.
