Cultivation methods and precautions of Trumpet Creeper

Cultivation methods and precautions of Trumpet Creeper

1. Watering

The humidity of the trumpet creeper should be maintained during the flowering period, neither too dry nor too wet. There should be sufficient water during the growing period, and the cultivation soil should be kept slightly moist, without waterlogging. During the plant's dormancy period, water less and keep the soil in the pot dry.

2. Sunlight

During the cultivation period, it should be given a sunny growing environment. If there is no sunlight, it will grow slower and the flower color will be lighter. It is best to place it on a sunny balcony or windowsill and pay attention to ventilation.

3. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer more, and usually liquid fertilizer is applied to it once every half a month. After germination, water and fertilizer management needs to be strengthened. Around May, you should start applying more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to help flower bud differentiation. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be used once a week during June.

4. Pruning

The plant will temporarily dormant in winter, so after entering spring, the diseased, weak and dead branches should be cut off as soon as possible. Some branches that affect the appearance and health of the plant should be cut off to help it grow new branches.

5. Notes

It is prone to diseases and pests in a hot and humid environment, so be careful to ventilate frequently to prevent the trumpet creeper from being attacked by diseases and pests.
