How to grow a small potted fortune tree

How to grow a small potted fortune tree

1. Proper lighting

It loves sunlight very much. It originally lived in the tropics. After being made into a small potted plant, it needs to meet the light requirements. Place it in a sunny place and get full exposure to the sunlight so that the color of the leaves will not become dull. To prevent the branches from becoming twisted, make the leaves face toward the window to maintain their beauty.

2. Appropriate watering

When the plant is first planted in the pot, it has not yet adapted to the environment and needs less water. In spring and autumn, the growth rate is faster and more water needs to be applied to ensure growth. In summer, due to the increase in temperature, the evaporation rate is significantly accelerated, and more application is required to meet the demand. However, as the temperature gradually turns cooler from the end of autumn, apply less fertilizer to avoid waterlogging.

3. Adequate fertilizer is required

The native environment is relatively nutritious, so nutrients must be applied regularly, especially during the rapid growth period from May to September, when nutrients should be applied every half a month to ensure that the leaves become lush.

4. Selection of potting soil

As for flower pots, they need to be more breathable. You can choose ceramic pots and avoid airtight materials such as porcelain pots. The soil inside can be leaf mold with a little base fertilizer to ensure growth.
