1. Cut off water and remove from pot: When you find that the roots of the plant are rotten, cut off water first. If you continue to water the plant after its roots have rotted, the root rot will get worse. After that, slowly dig the succulent out of the pot.

2. Prune the roots: After removing the plant from the pot, you need to clean up the rotten roots. Be careful when shaking off the soil from the roots; some rotten roots are very fragile, so they can be removed with a gentle pull. As long as the healthy roots are not damaged, it is fine. It is best to disinfect the scissors used first.

3. Disinfection and potting: In order to prevent the root incision from being infected again, it is necessary to disinfect after root pruning. Use clean water to dilute carbendazim and soak the roots of the plant. After disinfection, dry the plants in a cool place. Finally, use new flowerpots, replace the old soil, and replant the succulents in the pots.
