Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lemons in the north

Cultivation methods and precautions for potted lemons in the north

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: The requirements for the use of cultivation medium are not very strict. It only needs to have certain air permeability and certain nutrients.

2. Light: It prefers to grow under abundant light, but it still needs appropriate sun protection in the summer. Place it between 15 and 27 degrees to grow, not higher than 35 degrees or below zero. For winter maintenance, bring it back indoors, away from radiators and air conditioners.

3. Watering: Keep its water demand moderate, not too much or too little. You can water more when the weather is dry, and it is advisable to reduce the water supply when it rains continuously.

4. Fertilization: Apply sufficient base fertilizer once before planting. The frequency of fertilization can be increased during the period of vigorous growth, but it is better to reduce the amount of fertilizer.

2. Breeding Methods

Seed propagation: It is generally propagated by seed planting. Collect some of its mature seeds and then sow them directly into moist soil. They will germinate after a period of maintenance.

3. Notes

Pruning: Prune all the branches that are not growing well or have died, so as to control the growth of new buds.

4. Pest and disease control

Since the weather in the north is relatively dry, plant diseases rarely occur. However, there may be some damage caused by red spider mites and scale insects, which should be removed in time after discovery.
