How to grow spring orchids on the balcony, what should you pay attention to

1. Lighting requirements

Spring orchid needs sunlight to grow, but it cannot be exposed to sunlight when it is first potted. It can gradually be exposed to sunlight during its growth. Generally, it can be placed on the balcony, which can supplement a certain amount of light to promote growth, synthesize nutrients to make the branches and leaves lush, and also maintain a certain beauty. However, you must be careful when maintaining it. You should put up curtains to block out strong light and lower the temperature.

2. Temperature range

The general growth temperature of spring orchid is kept between 15~25 degrees Celsius. It is most suitable for growth within this range. It is cold-resistant and can bloom normally at around 0 degrees Celsius, but it is best to keep the room temperature at around 3~8 degrees Celsius. If the temperature on the balcony is low, you need to keep warm.

3. Proper water supply

The frequency of watering is different in different periods. Generally, water is supplied after the soil in the pot becomes dry to keep the soil in the pot moist. In winter, the climate is cold and the plant is in a dormant state. At this time, you should control watering and just keep some moisture in the soil. The best time to water is around noon, and the water temperature should be kept consistent with the room temperature.

4. Apply fertilizer

In order to maintain normal growth, regular fertilization is required. Special orchid fertilizer can be used with low concentration.
