Differences between cilantro and mint

1. Different plant types

Coriander is also known as spearmint, which looks similar to mint. It has many nicknames, including savory mint, green mint, spearmint, and coriander. The plant is relatively small, with a height of about 40-130 cm.

Mint is quite common in our daily life. Although most of them are potted plants and look shorter, the wild mint is taller and larger than the former, with a plant height of about 40-150 cm.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of coriander are ovate-oblong or oblong-lanceolate in shape, darker in color than the latter, and the texture on the leaves is also darker. But its leaves are smaller and not that big.

The leaves of mint are ovate to triangular heart-shaped, about 2.5-7 cm long and about 2-4.7 cm wide. Its leaf color is lighter than the former, but the leaves are larger.

3. Different smell

Coriander has a fresh fragrance, and its smell is lighter than the latter and not as pungent.

The smell of mint is relatively strong, it smells stronger and more pungent.
