Cultivation method of Jinping Schefflera

Cultivation method of Jinping Schefflera

1. Soil

Jinping Schefflera often grows under forests or on roadsides at an altitude of 350 to 450 meters. It is grown in deep, loose, nutrient-rich breeding soil or leaf mold. Not suitable for cultivation in soils with poor drainage.

2. Temperature

The most suitable temperature for its growth is about 20 degrees Celsius, and it can be cultivated in a normal temperature greenhouse all year round. It cannot be placed in a high temperature environment for a long time, as this is not conducive to its growth and the health of its stems and leaves.

3. Fertilization

Attention should be paid to timely fertilization during the growth period. You can cover it with a layer of cooked and rotten branches and fallen leaves, or you can apply manure or humus soil. According to the growth conditions of the plants, various elements such as potassium and phosphorus should be supplemented in time with fertilization.

4. Watering

It is a moisture-loving plant and it is best to keep the surrounding air moist. You can reduce watering in winter. When watering, the amount of water sprayed should be controlled to prevent root rot.

5. Lighting

It can only show bright colors and luster when it is exposed to non-strong light for enough time every day. Therefore, it should be provided with sufficient light during breeding, but it should be avoided from prolonged exposure to the sun during the hot summer period to prevent it from getting sunburned.

6. Notes

During breeding, attention should be paid to pest control. You can spray pesticides regularly in spring and autumn or take isolation measures to protect the plants.
