How to cultivate blood grass

How to cultivate blood grass

1. Soil

Bloodwort does not grow well in poorly drained soil. It is advisable to choose sandy soil that is fertile, deep and loose.

2. Temperature

It is best to keep the temperature around 25℃, which is conducive to its growth and the health of its stems and leaves. During the winter period, attention should be paid to keeping warm. It can be planted in a greenhouse or a greenhouse, or a transparent film can be covered on the top.

3. Fertilization

Attention should be paid to timely fertilization. After the seedlings are turned over in winter, you can cover them with a layer of mature and rotten branches and fallen leaves, or you can use manure or humus soil as top dressing.

4. Watering

It is a moisture-loving plant and it is best to keep the surrounding air moist. When watering, the amount of water sprayed should be controlled to prevent root rot.

5. Harvest

Every time it is harvested, the rhizomes that were not completely harvested will sprout and grow again. If properly managed, continuous harvest is possible.

6. Lighting

Its ideal growing environment is a shady environment such as the bottom of the forest or under trees, and attention should be paid to shading when cultivating it. It is recommended to grow it in a greenhouse or in a place with perennial shade or backlight.

VII. Precautions

1. Pay attention to insect and disease prevention. Bloodweed easily attracts pests to eat it, causing its branches and leaves to wilt or even fall off. During periods when pests are prevalent, pesticides can be sprayed regularly for prevention and control.

2. The best growth location for blood grass is 1400-1800m above sea level. Land at this altitude should be selected for large-scale breeding.
