The cultivation methods and precautions of jasmine

The cultivation methods and precautions of jasmine

1. Soil

Jasmine likes to grow in loose, breathable, fertile, water-retaining and field-retaining soil. You can choose to prepare the soil yourself, using rotten leaf soil, cake fertilizer, and sandy loam. Such soil is of great help to the growth of jasmine.

2. Water

It likes to grow in slightly moist soil, but because it is not tolerant to waterlogging, it should be watered in moderation and no water should be stored. In summer, it only needs to be watered once every three days or so, and in winter, it needs to be watered once every fifteen days or so. When it is relatively dry, you can spray some water on the branches and leaves to keep them moisturized.

3. Nutrients

During its vigorous growth period, it should be applied with some well-rotted fertilizer, and after the flowering period, it should be applied with some phosphorus fertilizer. The amount of fertilizer should be small and applied frequently, which will help it absorb nutrients and make the jasmine grow stronger.

4. Lighting

It is a light-loving plant and should be given sufficient sunlight during cultivation, but it does not like strong light. When the light is strong, it should be given appropriate shade to prevent its leaves from being sunburned. It can be placed on the balcony or in the courtyard to better promote sunlight exposure.
