How to grow long-tube flowers and how to plant bulbs

1. Cultivation method of long-tube flower

1. Sunlight: The long-tube flower prefers sunlight. When growing it, it should be placed in a place with relatively good lighting conditions. During the growing season, it can be exposed to direct sunlight. But in summer, it should be shaded to prevent it from sunburn.

2. Temperature: The temperature range suitable for long-tube flowers is 20-24℃. It is afraid of cold and will enter a dormant state in winter, with the above-ground parts withering. At this time, you need to cut off the withered parts, then take out the bulb and preserve it or leave it in the pot.

3. Watering: During the growing season, you should water it in time to keep its soil moist. This allows it to continue to absorb moisture, which is very beneficial to its growth. But be careful not to allow water to accumulate in the soil, otherwise it may cause its roots to rot.

4. Fertilization: In spring, after it sprouts and grows to 5cm in height, you can start applying topdressing. Generally, apply fertilizer 1-2 times a month, mainly nitrogen fertilizer. Before flowering, apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers instead. Spray once every 10 days or so.

2. How to plant long-tube flower bulbs

Planting of long-tube flower bulbs is usually carried out at the end of March. When planting, use loose and breathable soil as the planting medium. Put the substrate into a flower pot with good air permeability, and then bury the bulbs of the long-tube flower into the substrate. After that, put it in a warm place, water it in time, and it will sprout soon.
