How to cut the leaves of bear's paw

How to cut the leaves of bear's paw

Leaf cutting preparation

The soil for leaf cuttings is very important and must have good air permeability. For soil dug directly from outside, add appropriate amounts of perlite and leaf mold to increase the permeability of the soil.

Prepare a container for leaf cuttings. If you need to do a lot of leaf cuttings at one time, you can choose a larger pot. You can also put one or two leaves into the gaps of other pots. After the seedlings grow, you can transplant them.

Leaf cutting method

1. Cut the middle section of the bear’s paw branch.

2. Split the branches into two in the middle and let them dry.

3. Then just insert it into the soil like ordinary leaf cuttings.

4. Let the leaves grow in the small pot for a period of time, then sprout small buds, and then move them to the pot after they are actually mature.

Maintenance after leaf cutting

In fact, it is not difficult to grow the leaves of Bear's Paw. On the contrary, the survival rate is higher if you do it by lazy cuttings. Don't water it every other day. After cutting, water it sufficiently and place it in a bright and ventilated place.

If you find small buds growing first, it means that the bear's paw is in the growth period, which will make it easier. After a period of time, use the immersion pot method to water the plants. The roots will slowly grow and new shoots will naturally emerge.
