When arranging lilies, pay attention to the density of the flowers and let the branches spread out to facilitate ventilation. For example: A lily with 3-5 flowers on one stem is generally called a multi-headed lily. 3000 ml of water can support 5-7 lilies. The branches should be pruned and the water changed frequently, and the vase should be cleaned.

When arranging flowers, you can add a little vitamin C to the water. Just a little is enough, just break half of the vitamin tablets sold in the pharmacy. This will extend the shelf life of the lilies. Add some preservatives or amino acids. If you don’t have them, you can add some sugar, or add a little beer, which can extend the flowering period. If you put rootless flowers into strong cold tea, they will generally not wither for a week.

Burn the end of the lily stalk over fire, or place the base in 80°C water for about 30 seconds, which will help absorb water, kill bacteria and preserve food. Or you can cut the bottom of the flower stem diagonally to allow it to absorb more water and keep the flowers fresh for a longer time.

If you want to extend the shelf life of lily flower arrangements, you can spray the flowers and leaves every day, or you can remove the stamens of the lilies, which can effectively extend the shelf life.

It is worth noting that lilies are sensitive to ethylene and need to be kept away from overripe fruits and vegetables, incense, cigarettes, etc.
