Can Buddaria be propagated by cuttings?

Buddaria can be propagated by cuttings. The cutting method is as follows:

The cuttings of Buddleija are generally carried out in May and June each year. At this time, the survival rate of the cuttings is high and the reproduction is rapid. Before cutting, a shade shed should be built, the river sand in the cutting bed should be disinfected, and semi-lignified branches with good growth should be selected. A 10-cm-long section should be cut off, all the lower leaves should be cut off, and two-thirds of the upper leaves should be cut. The upper part should be cut into a flat end, and the lower part should be cut into an oblique end. Make a 5-cm-deep trench in the river sand, place the cuttings neatly, cover them with sand, pat them down, and spray them with water. The cuttings should not touch each other and should be evenly distributed. After all the cuttings are done, spray them with water again, making sure they are thoroughly sprayed. Then cover them with plastic film and seal them on all sides.

Buddaria cutting maintenance

Buddaria likes to grow in a warm and humid environment and prefers fertile and deep soil. It has strong vitality and adaptability, but is not resistant to water and humidity. It generally grows in bushes on roadsides or by rivers in mountains at an altitude of 200-2700 meters. According to this growth habit, in order to grow beautiful Buddleija, it is necessary to properly maintain the Buddleija after cuttings.

The main maintenance after cuttings is to cool and moisturize. You can spray water twice a day to keep the temperature in the greenhouse at around 28°C. It takes about 20 days to take root in May and June, and about 2 weeks to take root in July and August. After taking root, pay attention to ventilation and control moisture. The seedlings can be transplanted after one week of hardening.

Buddleija can be propagated by cuttings, but it must be done in the correct way!
