How to care for the newly bought variegated trachelospermum

1. How to care for the newly bought variegated trachelospermum

There will be a period of acclimatization when variegated ivy is first bought. In order to avoid damage to the root system of the plant, a relatively comfortable environment should be created for it to acclimate. At this time, you need to stop fertilizing, control the amount of watering, keep the soil slightly moist, and provide a warm and relatively well-ventilated environment to maintain it.

2. Specific breeding methods

1. Light: It likes light, but when you first buy it, you need to put it in a place with soft light for maintenance. After it resumes normal growth, you can gradually give it sufficient light. Under normal circumstances, it can be placed in a sunny place for maintenance in spring, autumn and winter. In summer, it needs to be placed in a place where it can see sunlight in the morning or evening, and in semi-shade at noon.

2. Temperature: It likes a warm environment. When you first buy it, you can place it in an environment with a temperature of around 22℃ to acclimate it. It is relatively cold-resistant and heat-resistant, so you can just move it indoors for maintenance in winter.

3. Watering: It likes a humid environment. When it is just bought, it has not yet resumed normal growth, so you need to control the water appropriately, reduce the amount of watering, and keep the soil slightly moist. Under normal circumstances, you can water the plant once every two days in spring and autumn, once a day in summer, and once every half a month in winter. Just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, but there should be no water accumulation at any time.

4. Fertilization: It prefers fertilizer and needs appropriate supplementary fertilizer. You need to stop fertilizing when you just buy it. Wait until it returns to normal growth state, then you can fertilize normally again. Under normal circumstances, nitrogen fertilizer is mainly used from March to August, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are applied in appropriate amounts from September to early October, and fertilization is stopped after October.
