How to make tiger lily bloom and bear fruit

soil

Sansevieria is suitable for loose and breathable soil. Maybe the humus soil you use is not as good as the river sand dug from the river by other flower lovers! There are no strict requirements for the soil preparation for Sansevieria, as long as the soil is not very sticky, it can be used.

Watering

Watering Sansevieria is really easy. It is better to keep it dry than wet. Do not water it too much. The roots of Sansevieria are shallow, and too much watering will cause the roots to rot. Just wait until the surface of the soil in the pot is about 2 to 3 cm dry before watering again.

illumination

Of course, Tiger Pira is light-loving. It is native to Africa and southern Asia, almost all places with sufficient sunlight, but it is very shade-tolerant. Basically, as long as you don't put the Tiger Pira in a very dark place, such as a dark corner, etc., it will bloom after a few years.

Please note that for indoor Sansevieria, about 2 hours of direct sunlight a day is enough. Long-term direct sunlight is not conducive to the flowering and fruiting of Sansevieria.

temperature

It would be best if the temperature at home can be maintained within the range of 18~27℃. If not, it is best to provide a temperature environment of not lower than 10℃ in winter and not higher than 30℃ in summer. Only in this way can the normal growth of Sansevieria be guaranteed.

Fertilization

Fertilization can usually be carried out when the tiger skin plant is repotted. The pot to be replaced should be shallow but larger in diameter. When repotting, throw a handful of slow-release fertilizer into the bottom of the pot and then plant the tiger skin plant.

Blossom and Fruit

If you do the above, although it is not common for tiger skin orchid to bloom, it will bloom after a few years.

As for the results, well, generally speaking, it is difficult for the tiger skin plant to bear fruit. Even if your tiger skin plant blooms, it may not bear fruit. Usually, the tiger skin plant will emit a strong smell at night to attract moths to pollinate it. If the pollination is successful, maybe your tiger skin plant will bear fruit.

Don't think that Sansevieria is easy to grow and don't take care of it.

As long as you take care of it,

It will blossom and bear fruit.

Let you have a full sense of accomplishment!
