How to prolong the viewing period of Green Yuanbao

How to prolong the viewing period of green ingots

The two "yuanbao" of green yuanbao that we often talk about are actually the two bean petals of the seeds. Different from other legumes, these two yuanbao will turn green and continue to photosynthesize, and remain on the surface of the potting soil for up to one year during the seedling stage. However, the cotyledons will eventually turn black and shrivel. Especially under adverse environmental conditions, the viewing period of Yuanbao will be greatly shortened. In order to extend the viewing time of the green ingot, the green ingot seedlings can be placed in a moist, cool and semi-shaded growing environment.

Temperature and light for green ingot maintenance

Green Yuanbao likes partial shade, likes heat but is not cold-resistant. It can be exposed to full sunlight in winter, which is conducive to the safe wintering of the plant. The suitable growth temperature for Green Yuanbao is about 20-30℃, and it cannot survive the winter if the temperature is below 10℃. Semi-shade or diffuse light is best. In hot summer weather, avoid direct sunlight. In addition, the Green Yuanbao should be placed away from heaters in winter, and protected from cold air from air conditioners in summer, otherwise the leaves of the Green Yuanbao may turn yellow or brown, seriously affecting its appearance.

Green Yuanbao maintenance and watering

Water when the soil is dry and when it is wet, water thoroughly. It is best to choose rainwater or tap water that has been dried in the sun. You can spray water once in the morning every day to increase the air humidity. It can also clean the dust on the leaves and reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests. In addition, ensure good ventilation. When the temperature and light are suitable, it is best to place it outdoors under the shade of a tree for maintenance, which can promote the growth of the Green Yuanbao plant to be stronger. To keep the green ingot clean and shiny, you need to be careful to avoid splashing mud and water during daily watering, and the surface of the potting soil should be kept flat. In addition, there should not be too much water when the plant is young, otherwise it will cause the cotyledons to rot.

Green Yuanbao maintenance and fertilization

Fertilization is generally done once a month. The concentration should not be too high. Just apply thin fertilizer. Change the soil every year and add decomposed organic fertilizer as base fertilizer.
