Fertilizer and water management of Elaeagnus pubescens

How to water the hairy tamarisk

The hairy tamarisk is light-loving, drought-tolerant and cold-resistant. It has a well-developed, deep-rooted root system, is resistant to pruning, and is not very demanding on soil, but grows best in deep, fertile sandy loam.
Although the hairy ash tree is drought-resistant, it will grow more vigorously and have taller trunks if it has sufficient water. During the seedling stage, watering management should be strengthened. Thawed water should be used in early spring, and then water should be applied every 20 days or so. After each watering, the soil should be loosened in time to retain moisture. In summer, when there is abundant rainfall, you can water less frequently and drain the accumulated water in time after heavy rain. However, if the weather is dry, you should water the plants in time. Watering should be controlled in autumn. Too much water will cause the plants to grow too tall, which is not conducive to safe wintering. In late autumn, water thoroughly and thoroughly to prevent freezing.

How to fertilize the hairy wood

The hairy ash likes fertilizer. When planting, apply organic fertilizer as base fertilizer. In spring, you can apply urea fertilizer once, apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer once in mid-to-late June, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once in late August.
For the hairy oak that still needs to grow, you can adopt the method of foliar fertilization. Spray 0.5% urea solution in spring, once every 10 days. Spray 2 to 3 times in a row to see the effect.
