How to grow dragon beard orchid, the leaves are green and shiny

Fertilization

Before planting the dragon beard orchid, we can mix fish bone meal or oily cakes, which are slow-release substances, into the soil as base fertilizer for the growth of the dragon beard orchid. Then during the growing period, fertilize every two weeks, reducing the use of nitrogen fertilizers and increasing phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.

Watering

After planting the seeds in the soil, give the soil a thorough watering. After that, each time you water, you should do it when the soil in the pot is half moist. Do not let the soil become too dry, as this will easily cause the leaves of the dragon beard orchid to turn yellow and affect the growth of the plant. At the same time, pay attention to the amount of watering to avoid excessive soil moisture causing root rot.

temperature

Dragon beard orchid is suitable for growing in a warm environment. When the temperature reaches above 20 degrees, the dragon beard orchid will grow most vigorously. In winter, if the indoor temperature is lower than 12 degrees, the leaves will easily fall off.

illumination

The growth of the dragon beard orchid should be avoided from strong light. It can be placed in an environment with scattered bright sunlight to allow it to grow. The dragon beard orchid cannot be placed in a dark place for a long time, as this will easily cause its growth to slow down, the leaves to grow weakly, and the plant to look lifeless. Over time, the leaves will lose their luster, affecting its appearance. The dragon beard orchid should be placed in a well-ventilated location so that the leaves can breathe and grow better, which is beneficial to overall growth.
