How to deal with Epiphyllum after it blooms

How to deal with it after flowering

1. After the Epiphyllum withers, special attention should be paid to the application of fertilizer. If the fertilizer is applied reasonably, it will be easy to make the Epiphyllum bloom again. The first bloom of Epiphyllum is around late spring and early summer. After its flowers fall, it should be fertilized every two weeks. A nitrogen-phosphorus compound fertilizer can be used. This will allow Epiphyllum to continue blooming from July to September in summer and autumn. Water the plants after fertilizing, and do not allow water to accumulate during watering.

2. After the Epiphyllum withers, the best state for the soil is to be relatively dry.

3. In the hot summer, be careful not to let direct sunlight shine on the plants, as this can easily cause the leaves to turn yellow, and in severe cases it can affect the next flowering and growth health. If it grows in a place without sunlight for a long time, it will cause the plant to grow too tall, thus affecting flowering.

4. Other care methods after the flowers fall can be carried out according to normal breeding methods, or you can refer to relevant articles in the flower encyclopedia to learn.

Epiphyllum can bloom many times a year, so it must be carefully cared for after each flowering. It consumes a lot of nutrients when flowering, so the most important thing is to replenish its nutrients after the flowers fall. Some friends only see the Epiphyllum bloom once a year, and there are even cases where the whole plant is on the road to falling after the flower blooms. This is directly related to the maintenance method.

Special reminder

Flowers are so simple, whether before or after they bloom, as long as you take good care of them, you will see visible results!
